Internships

PhD Students

Occasionally, I may be able to offer visiting positions to external PhD students who wish to spend up to a year working with me and my group. This will only be available to students who can demonstrate significant experience specifically in robot manipulation, and candidates will only be considered if they have already published a first-author paper in a top conference (ICRA, IROS, RSS, ICCV, CVPR, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).  Funding for living expenses would need to be provided by the student or their home institution. To apply, please contact me at e.johns@imperial.ac.uk with your CV, degree transcripts, and a summary of your research interests. So that I know you have read this webpage, please use "InternApp2020 Xyz Xyz" for the email's subject line, where "Xyz Xyz" is your name.

Masters Students

Occasionally, I may be able to offer a visiting position to external Masters students who wish to do their thesis in my lab. This will only be available to students with top grades, and with a strong background in robotics, computer vision, and machine learning.

Undergraduate Students

I do not offer any internships, or UROPs, to undergraduate students, and I'm sorry but I cannot reply to these requests.
